writes "Peugeot’s 107 city car has sold over 500,000 vehicles since its release in 2005, selling in excess of 100,000 units in each of the past five years.
The 107 is on sale across the globe however its most successful market is Europe where it is the fifth most popular car across the continent.
With its Euro5 compliant engine the 107 city car has CO2 emissions of 103g/km and is capable of 61.4mpg.
The most successful version of the small car is the five-door variant as opposed to the three-door with Peugeot quoting the ‘excellent packaging’ of the 107 as the reason for this.
A new addition to the 107 line-up will be available this month in the form of the special edition ENVY-priced from £9,595.
The 107 ENVY is available in either three or five door variants. As standard the ENVY specification model is fitted with ABS, electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) and corner stability control (CSC).
There is also the option of Peugeot’s Just Add Fuel personal finance package that offers three years fully comprehensive insurance, warranty, servicing and roadside assistance for £189 per month"

pugadmin writes "The car a Buckinghamshire driver died in during a crash did not give the protection expected, an inquest heard.
Judith Evans, 56, from Aylesbury, was driving a Peugeot 107 on 20 January 2009 when she was killed in a head-on crash with a Vauxhall Vectra.
Coroner Richard Hulett said the car's safety equipment was not faulty but did not save her life.
He recorded a verdict of death by misadventure at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court.
The accident raises a serious question over the stability of the response of the total restraint system for an occupant of this build and weight in an accident of this severity”
Peter Gloyns
Mechanical engineer
Mrs Evans suffered multiple fractures, chest injuries and abdominal injuries in the crash.
"In the event, Mrs Evans did not enjoy the benefit of the combined restraint package which was designed to work together," Mr Hulett said.
"The seatbelt had extended to its furthest extent, the airbag didn't give her the protection we would hope and the anti-submarining ramp didn't stop her from submarining.
"This doesn't mean the equipment was faulty but at the end of the day it didn't save her life."
The hearing was told that Peugeot had not crash-tested the car with a dummy for any driver weighing more than 12 stone 4lb (78kg).

pugadmin writes "Motorists in the North East take better care of their cars than anywhere else in the UK according to new research from Auto Trader, the UK’s no 1 motoring website and magazine.
The results, released today, show that nearly 80% of North East motorists say their car is strictly non smoking, compared to just 60% of the Republic of Ireland motorists, who appear to take the least care of the car.
The research, which was conducted amongst nearly 7,500 motorists nationwide, also shows that more than three quarters of North East motorists would rather pay extra to park their car in a secure car park overnight, rather than leave it on the street, compared to just 65% of London motorists.
According to respondents, nearly 80% of the West Midlands motorists would take their car immediately to a garage if the engine made a strange noise, whereas just 70% of the East Midlands motorists agreed. Infact, the East Midlands motorists admitted that"
