How do I tell if my 207 SW has a DPF or FAP? Can I tell by the VIN? (VF3WE9HXC********)

Many thanks.

You need to pm/post the last 8 digits before we know you have a dpf or not... Smile

I wouldn't fool with the Diesel Particle Filter unless you are a well trained technician, however, see the following two links:

http://www.autodiagnos.com/sites/default/files/psa_particle_filter_fap_ad.pdf - This document talks about how to identify what kind of additive you have, and that the additives can not be mixed. Therefore you will need to replace everything to use the other type of additive. Read it all, it is very informative and if you are not deterred, go on to the second link!

http://www.qclt.com/html/%E6%A0%87%E8%87%B4206_406/406D9/INFO/gb/b1ki00k3.htm - This is for an older-other version of the Peugeot. While it is not specific to a 407 it should give you an idea of how to locate and fool around with the device on your car.
