No answer to this query yet??? The car is out a good few years now and I'm surprised there is no manual. Has anyone asked Haynes?
Could it be that Peugeot are blocking the publication of such to force owners to their agents??

Just had a bit of a price shock with Peugeot. I got the tiniest of a bump to the rear bumper. My garage advised that the cost of the (plastic) bumper is over €800 and this does not include spraying of same. They said it is the most expensive bumper they have ever known!

I want to change the air filter in my 407 SW 1.6D.  Seems like I have to dismantle a lot (at the back of the engine) to get at it. Anybody any hints??
Also, does anyone know when the timing belt has to be changed. The owner's book says, "consult your dealer". Another hint of protecting the distributors.

I just received a workshop manual off Amazon.fr for diesel 407s. It's in French so will test your language skills but like Haynes it has lots of pictures so that helps. Unfortunatley it doesn't cover my 2.2HDi engine (it's only got 1.6 and 2.0 HDis) but I wasn't planning on doing major surgery under the hood.

If interested look for 'Revue technique'. (I think there is one on eBay.fr at the moment - ~2.5 Euros currently) . The amazon link is below.

Regards,
Bob
