I think this is the number:
21035164
Is there anything else I can check too? Like I said the symptoms are start up problems - fires up OK but clonks after a few seconds - takes about half hour an hour worth of starts before it finally fires up without turning back off with the baove msg flashin "water in diesel filter".
Every other symptom I have only shows up during regen (hesitation, white smoke etc...)

| id try changing the under bonnet fuse box, ive had a few of these and after changing the psf1 the fault was cured. seems to be a problem with the fuse box controling the power supply to the injectors during startup and it brings up the water in diesel filter fault even when there is no water in diesel filter sensor on the car. |

Hi Toddy.
Did you manage to find a pic?
My car wont rev over 2500rpm now :S
I'm takin it 2 a friends tomorrow for codes as the lights back on - this time permanent ESP/ASR error light on as well. Hes got a Snap on tool but hes free and usually picks up a code.

The following codes caem up on the snap on solus machine.
P0191 - fuel pressure sensor?
P0193 - fuel pressure sensor?
P1164 - fuel pressure sensor?
The codes were cleared and engine was off but key was turned to on position. as soon as the codes were cleared the fuel pressure sensor message still came up even though we didnt switch engine on. So its a permanent fault??
Mechanic asked me to replace fuel pressure sensor and to take it from there.
Any further advice guys?
Thnx. |

Quick update.
Not had access to a PC for some time hence late update.
No EML but the starting problem still persists.
Engine will start but wont fire (?) I have however found that pumping the brake pedal (with foot flat on gas pedal) can stop the engine from clonking off, and engine revs rise and then all of a sudden engine fires in2 life wih some smoke,
If I feel the engine is about to clonk off all I do is pump the brake pedal - odd but it stops the engine from switching off.
Secondly the engine only behaves like this if its going through its regen cycle.
Any ideas?
Thanks. |
