2.2 HDi 53 plate with 75K on the clock. Got this 4 months ago and done 10k. starting problem is intermittent, I had originally cured this by changing the fuel filter and fiddling with associated pipes, the problem got worse and cranking time increased but would eventually go; until 1 day just nothin, it won't jump start but i will bump start and runs perfectly once it does, despite slightly high fuel economy (approx 27 mpg), anyway, too manybump starts have now knackered the crankshaft puley (easily replaced) but still can't start without bump start.
Had a plug in and no significant fault codes.
Pump is lifting from the tank can feel it through the fuel filter housing. I've just read on google about cleaning/clearing the fuel solenoid on top of the pump, will try this 2moro.
Continuous attempts at starting burnt out the starter so had that recon'd.
Can anybody get their brain on this?????? |
