sounds a bit odd they havent found anything if its been stripped down.

sounds to me like either the discs are warped, pads not sat in the caliper right, caliper not sat right....

when does it happen?

the discs arent warped and the pads are ok,
gona be one o those things that take some sorting methinks, good job the wife works there so at least they wont con her, the master tech who looked at it has been honest and said he doesnt know whats causing the noise as everything checks out

Hi there,

When you say noisy brakes are you refering to a grinding sound, as if the brake pads needed changing?

I have a 207 that has only done 6,000 miles from new (bought it April 2007) and when I apply the brakes it makes the above sound. I took it back to the dealer who said that it was a design fault, in that the new brake pads that are used, have copper filings in them and so will make a grinding noise on application of the brakes. All they did was remove a build up of dust on the pads and sent me on my way. The brakes still makes a horrible grinding noise and I'm just trying to establish if the design fault is true or fabricated.
