Hi Everyone,
I just bought a 2003 1.6L 307. I absolutely love the car. It seems to be working quite well. I do want to keep it like that and have a few questions - I'm sorry if these answers have been posted elsewhere but I haven't seen them.
The previous owner didn't give me an owners manual so:
How frequently should I change the engine oil, transmission oil, coolant and brake fluid? (Is there anything else to change?)
Are there specific products that I should use?
What kind of spark plugs are recommended?
How do I get the 125km/hr speed warning sound off?
Thanks for your help guys. I really appreciate it!

hi, I have a 2005 pug 307 2.0L & been driving this baby for 3 yrs & not willing to change it, anyway..
for the engine oil am using Peugeot recommended 5/40 Total quartz 9000 which is recommended by the manual, it's a fully synthetic oil, you should change this oil every 9000km, however you need to check on you oil meter & viscosity every month, once you change your oil get a new oil filter with it.
for the transmission oil my mechanic said there is no need to change it ?? just check on level & viscosity of your oil... am not sure if this is a correct info.
Brakes fluid, didn't change it in 2 yrs & never had any problem.
for coolant fluid, u need to keep on checking on color & level of your fluid, I changed it twice in 3 years.
For the sparks, use your pug original sparks or something equivalent, personally am using Bosch sparks & they are running fine, u need to change sparks every 10,000 km.
well, for the sound peeps at 125km/h I advice you to slow down, I don't know if there is anything to be done to cut it off, personally I would rather keep it coz my car can go far beyond 125km/h in few seconds lol.
one more thing to add, change your timing belt every 50,000 km & use original belt set, not any other aftermarket belt.
