hi everyone iv got a 2.0 hdi 307 on a 51 plate 90bhp with 65k on the clock.

Today the car started ok but then cut out. It kept doing it so i managed to roll down to my local garage who did a diagnostic on it, said something about the engine revolutions, and crank sensor. Th garage replaced the crank sensor but no luck. Tried the spare key still no luck. Got the AA to come out who couldnt start it so they towed me to the local pug dealers. whilst i was being towed the car was in neutral, ignition on, after a while all the lights came on on the dash, esp, engine management, passenger airbag deactivated, everything. when we got to the dealers and the AA guy left. i got back into my car n tried to start it again, but this time the car went crazy. the car wouldnt even try to start, just makes a wierd buzzing noise. and the centre console seems to have been reset, it was all zero and flashing. even after i set the date n time when i tried to start the car again it would return to zero like it hadnt been reset. then my dash would illuminate, all the dials, as though the headlights were on, but they werent! eventually the center console stopped coming on. And it wouldnt central lock at all. so its at pug dealers with the doors unlocked!

Does anyone know why its doing this? What is the buzzing noise? WHy wont it central lock?

Please someone help im very distressed, and seriously considering selling my car and buying a german replacement.

the buzzing noise is usually associated with the battery being disconnected and reconnect, the battery running flat or the ECU being reset.

my moneys on the battery saff. seem's like your getting a far few problems lately eh?

cos of the flat battery hun. prolly not enough amps to crank? (does it turn over ok? or just slow down and die?). central locking wont work without power hun Wink (you tried locking with the key?)

dont like the CC personally. although i have seen one that was nicely modified and looked good, but thats it! Laughing

wont be any less expensive than the pug tbh. not many manufacturers are doing well atm (VAG, Ford, Vauxhall).
