| Hi I am new to the site, as I discovered you when I was reserching the mess: that is the Particulate Filter, I have looked at some of the comments and I got the same info as everyone else, that you need to go to the dealers and you wont get much change from £750. My anti pollution warning light came on and the car wont rev past 3000rpms I checked a number of Peugeot dealers who told me I needed a new Particulate filter and 5 litres of cerine Fluid at the cost of £31.00 per litre, also after fitting this the car would need a regenaration programme to get the fluid through the system and remove excess Particules from the exaughst system. but I thought they are telling me that I can have an exchange so the filter must be able to be cleaned, yes the guy says with speacial equipment.Mmmm I thought. I striped of the filter at home stuck it in a bucket of warm fairy liquid left it for half an hour then I blasted it from both ends with my mates hot pressure washer till every bit of soot dirt and other crap came out approx 35 minutes, put it in front of a heater for ten minutes stuck it back on drove the car to a local Auto electrical Guy who took £ 30.00 for resetting the Lights then went for a run for 20 minutes and the car is running like new.I also had bought a 3 litre bottle of cerine fluid from peugeot at £72.00 and guess what it took about half a litre, so I did not need it. so the job cost me £102 but should only have been £30. Big Big drop from peugeots £750............ |

Hi, Im not really mechanically minded, just a bit of research and remove 4 bolts and a Pressure washer, along with the advice of an auto electrics guy and it was fixed. |

Nice 1 Cell.
All sounds good to me - maybe worth tarting his method up and keeping it as a resource on the site.
well done. |

:D
I had to sign on to this site just to say a big thank you!!
I can't belive it! I was at the end of my tether. My 807 kept coming up with "unblock diesel filter" & "Anti Pollution Fault". Every time I would take it to a Peugeot dealer to put right only to be told that they couldn't find a fault or they would recharge the system, nothing about unblocking the diesel filter was said by them.
I read and printed off the instruction that said about washing it out with hot soapy water and cleaning out with a pressure washer, then let it dry, I thought well i've got nothing to loose!, GUESS WHAT!!! IT REALLY WORKED it even reset the engine managment light so I didn't need a trip to a garage to get this reset, Bonus! I am now going to rename myself "Peugeot got it working!"
PS don't take your Peugeot 2.2HDI 807 into a Peugeot dealership to get it repaired if the cambelt snaps as they can't get it apart and will charge you to release the vehiclle for you to take it away. In the end I took it to a very good Peugeot spealist and they got it apart replaced with new injectors becuase the main dealer ***ked them up trying to get them out. And at £300.00 each i was not impressed!. So take it from me Peugeot main dealers are not worth it. The first service I took the 807 to was my main local dealer, just a first service oil, oil filter etc... IT CAME OUT WITH SCRATCHES AND MORE WRONG THAN EVER! Thank god it was still under warranty.
More of my dealings if you want them! Just ask. I could probably do a web-site on them all.

If you are asking about the 807 it is in the middle of the vehicle underneath. As the pipe comes down from from the manifold it then goes straight into a BIG round tube about 4-5 inches in diameter with 4 fixing bolts around it that flange is the part you have to get into.
Read though before attempting these instructions might differ but this is what i did
1. remove the rubber connction hoses to the pipes that go either side of the filter (you might have to undo the 2 small clamping fixings that clamp a small steel pipe to the filter these go to the rubber hoses which you have to undo. Making sure you mark which rubber hose goes to which pipe!
2. undo the rear clamp after the partical filter
3. undo the 4 flange bolts. carful undoing these as they might snap off. Before undo them all support the front part of the exhaust system with a jack.
4. Now remove the Pipe section which contains the partical filter from the exhaust system, you might have to undo the rear exhaust rubber mount to get enough movement on the pipe to get it past the front part. Caution the pipe section is quite heavy.
5. There now you have the partical filter pipe section in your hands happy cleaning.
6. Putting it back to gether is a reverse of above apart from have to replace the bolts you might have snapped of and cleaning out the rusted holes.
anyother probs please contact me i'll try abd reply sooner next time.
