Best option is remove it and get it mapped, no more fluid, no more limp home mode, no more problems.
The cars also get better mpg once removed and coupled with a remap more power as well. |

I have a 2003 53 plate 807 2.0 HDI.
This Anti Pollution fault appeared whilst on the Motorway and the Engine Diagnostic Light appeared.
Car never went into 'limp' mode and continued driving fine.
I returned the car home and the fault went off and the Engine Diagnostic light went off.
I have drive it since and no problems so far...but I am unsure whether there is a problem or not.
I have no confidence in this car at all, especially as my wife and 4 kids use this car a lot. I don't want it to break down with them in it..
Is it recommended that I try to clean out the Particulate Filter (Is there any pictures on doing this for a 807?) and top up the fluid? Or just continue to drive it and hope this issue goes away?
Also would the remapping work?
Thanks all |

Just wanted to say thanks for all the information i found it very useful today as my 807 2.2 hdi decided it was going to be a pain.
We got the engine warning light come on and it went straight into limp mode, had to drive 2hrs home with no power, the msg came up that the particle filter was at risk of clogging.... after finding out peugeots price to fix this i came on here and thought i would give it a go, we followed the above steps for cleaning it out but instead of washing it we used a high power air line to blow out the crap, worked really well. there wasnt much soot come out which we were surprised at considering we had been told that you normally get a bag full of black soot, make sure you where protective eye glasses and a mask. we then fitted it all back together, then
we bought the diesel additive kit which had the tubes for filling the tank with, an empty bottle, a mesh and hook to hold bottle and the 3ltrs of additive from peugeot for £102, the additive tank is on the left hand side just in front of the diesel tank about the size of a laptop fill the empty bottle with fluid attach the kit to the tube that looks very similar to the tube thats on the tank by pressing the buttons on each side and the pipe comes off it will only fit on one of the tubes which is the bigger of the two, but be warned it will leak out the toxic additive and it burns if you get it on your skin. so we added the additive but it didnt need any as was already full it took only a very small amount so that was a waste of money, there is actually a semi transparent valve on the tank with a pipe coming out of that you can see the additive in, so if you can see additive in this dont buy it as you dont need it.
we then took it to a friend with a diagnostic machine to reset the fault and do a regeneration for us but the engine light and msg did not clear, by this time were had really had enough and then we were told by a mechanic that if its clean and its not resetting the fault but still showing as a fault then that wasnt the problem but that he thought it was the sensor playing up... so back to peugeot and we bought the particle filter pressure sensor for £50... fitted that even though it looked totally different to the one that was on it already as they said they have upgraded this part, its a small black box that the two tubes go to (the ones you removed earlier when you take apart the exhaust) the tube with the white dot on goes to the hole with a picture of a square above it. we re-attached it, started up the car and the warning light and msg were still on but then after about 10 mins of driving it cleared itself and fingers crossed will stay that way.
hope this helps anyone that needs it if you do want any more info on this feel free to pm me
also i have a full kit of additive for sale now lol |
