hi, does anyone know if the glow plugs are fused on the 407 1.6 hdi 2004 model? there is nothing in the manual, my light never comes on, (even at -5 in the mornings) the glow plugs have been changed & the relay has been renewed,
thanks all,  Very Happy

No fuse.

May not come on at that temp.

I wouldn't worry too much!

IDM input circuit Malfunction/Ignition coil control circuit High voltage
SID 803/EDC16C3 - Pre/Post heating relay circuit. Relay not controlled and glow plugs supplied.

Check the operation and output of the pre-heat control relay.

Check power going into the relay - you can remove the relay if it makes access easier.

Your glow plug control module has 8 pins all numbered on no 4 pin permanent 12v  feed.
pin no 2 feeds no 1 glow plug
pin no 7 feeds no2 glow plug
pin no 1 feeds no3 glow plug
pin no 6 feeds no4 glow plug
pin no 5 earth (ground)
pins no 3 & 8 are ecu controlled (relay not controlled)
pin no 3 goes to ecu no aa4 pin
pin no 8 goes to ecu no ae2 pin. Check at pin 4 for 12v
assuming you have your 12v feed at pin 4  then your Wiring / ecu / control module /needs checking
Hope this helps Best Reguards Mickeybo
