Never Fear!!!!! You're not the only one!!!!!

I have a 308!!!!!!!!

It's a black 308GT 2.0HDi 136, with Front Arking Sensors and JBL sound system........

Well, actually, it's not really mine, it's the Wife's. Still wondering if I really bought it for her or as a toy for me!

Good car, shame about the wipers being crap in really heavy rain as they have not been converted properly for RHD. Also, supposed to have LDWS (Lane departure thingummyjig) but not on the car. Little letter to Peugeot coming up me thinks!

And then there were 3...

I've recently got a 308 too. Really like it.
This is my first new car and I'm probably being a dummy but just noticed it's flashing a spanner and -850 on the dash when I start up. The mileage is just over 1850 so is the car saying it wanted a service at 1000 miles? Is that normal??
Read the manual (like a geek) and it seems to say it needs servicing every 12000 not after the first 1000.
Any advice would be really appreciated!

Yep, dealer should have told you it needed to go in for a service after 1000 miles.

Basically a 30 minute arse wiping affair to make sure it's not falling apart.

I'd get it in asap to make sure they don't muck around on the warranty side of things!.

Ah. Thanks for the advice. Will ring them tomorrow. They didn't say that when I picked it up....
Probably should have paid more attention to the dashboard I guess.

Just taken delivery of the 308SW ordered from brochure and internet without seeing it!  Although we did take a test drive in the hatch first.  The 308SW 1.6HDi is a very nice car to drive and we are not disappointed but one or two items of the spec are still escaping us.  If there are other SW owners perhaps they could comment on the 'remote window locking from the plip key!' we can't seem to find that at all.  Also the rear seat armrest and drinks holder in the Sport and SE versions - it's missing!  Anyway would like to hear from others who might have or soon to have this very nice Peugeot.

Any news on the 308? I've only had one in for repair due to the dealer not being able to fit it in for 3 days.

Hi,
sorry to invade the space but I've just got myself a 308 HDi and done an amazing 286 miles so far!!
I noticed a sticker on my windscreen saying that a service was due on 6/11/08... but I'd only had the car about a week then so it aint been near a garage yet. I've emailed the company it bought it from for info as to who pays for this first service but not had a reply yet.!
Hope it's in with the price?
Smile
just called the local peugeot dealer and yes, it is a free check over.
I'm still waiting for my second key from the main dealer though.!! Anyone know if it's possible to program a new key without going back to the dealers??

Awesome cars, I prefer them over the 307s to be honest.

Had 3 as Courtesy cars - 1.6 HDI 110, 1.6 HDI 90 and 1.6 VTI Sport 150 - I'd like to replace mine with one, but funds don't allow.
