I have just taken my 107 to a registered Peugeot dealer and been quoted £700 for a new clutch and bearing joint.  My car is 4yrs old with 36580. miles on the clock.  They told me this is very unusual for the bearing to go, but from what I can see on the posts here, it looks like a very similar problem. Evil or Very Mad

its not really a problem with the clutch, its more of a problem off a poorly adjusted clutch cable which makes the clutch slip.

£700 to get a clutch replaced, thats a bit expensive for a clutch thatl cost u £100 - £150 and 3 hours labour.  is that at a dealer??

Yep 28000 miles clutch went triptronic gearbox, started beeping at me and took it in to be told again won't be done under warrantee. It's a lease car and even though it's an automatic i'm being told its my fault the clutch has gone and will cost me £600! Am in 'discussions' with the lease car company but the Puegeot Garage told me to google 107 and clutch which i did and here i am. Obviously am not the only one with clutch issue - am unlucky as have 1 month left on my lease is a 58 reg.

As previously stated. The oe clutch kit is now superceeded, (and has been for a while). The new version has a more heavy duty clutch plate in it, and so far we have not seen these fail prematurely.
Make sure you get the latest part numbers if a dealer is doing the job.

just taken my 107 into the garage suspected worn clutch

only 3 years old Sad

hey, did you car beep at you with no warning lights?  i've got tronic transmission & done 56000 miles in less than 3yrs.  It started peeping at me here & there but badly on one trip away.  firslty i had the AA come check my car out after it started peeping continously as i was anxious to drive it back home... they didnt find any faults with it.. so i drove it all the way home and took it to my local peugeot dealer 2 days later for review under warrantee.

they had it for a whole day and when i called them up for an update, they told me they couldnt find any problem with it, although it had beeped for them as well... they were wainting to hear back from HQ with advice.  i told them i needed the car for another trip and they said it wouldnt be a problem and that they'd just get back to me with HQ's feedback...  2 days later i get the same guy on the phone saying "Hi, your car with the clutch problem miss", to which i said "what clutch problem??" - "well HQ have come back & said they wont fix it under warrantee as your car has done more than 20,000miles".

now... if this was a clutch problem... surely my local dealer would have found it that day.... isnt it really convenient that "the clutch" has gone... exempt from warrantee... and they want 850 to fix it!!

has anyone else had this beeping on their car?
