hi gotta be the quickest account closure request you've had,but im not paying the yearly fee 10pounds Shocked

so may aswell delete me ps why is it not written in the registration page that you have to pay to view certain parts,nearly all,ps dont mean to offend admins here i know alot of work must go into the site its just i wont pay sorry

I think this alas may well be all to common a problem now.

Cant we think of a better way to raise funds for the server?

How much are we taking?

well unfortunately people need to understand that everything on the internet isn't free, someone, somewhere pays for it.

Peugeot Central has been up and running since May 2006 so almost 2 years and for all that time its been completely free

I tried advertising (didn't get hardly any takers)

tried Donations (Only had very limited response)

Subscriptions is therefore the only step left.

If subscriptions rise then there will be money in the pot for other things like show stands perhaps to encourage new members to join etc

A very sad day - it will impact new user tremendously.

I've asked a few times now - what sort of money are we talking (never a response btw)?

Maybe more of a think is required?

the site is hosted on one of my dedicated servers, that server costs around £175 a month and Pugcentral uses the majority of the bandwidth for that server

I am open to suggestions but like i say I have tried lots of aspects so far and none worked

I am looking into how best to implement this subscription aspect, atm the technical forums are none accessible i.e. none subscribers are prompted to pay

I would prefer it if a sampler was allowed but need code / time to implement this

Hi (apologies but I don't actually know your name).

Do you rent out server? Is it costing you some portion of 175 per month or is that what you would get from customers?

May be credit / token system. Posts to certain areas require you to have credits - you start off with say 10 - then need to buy more?

Or everytime I give our diagrams (which cost me a vast sum of money per year- pug subscription is about 1k, Vivid DVD etc) maybe that could come at a cost (or use the token system).

I'm happy to work with you on this one.

I am a Peugeot electrician by trade. I thought it would be interesting to join this forum and perhaps help other users. But only AFTER I created an account, I found I am being charged 10 quid for the privilege. Are you serious? I have came across foruns of all sorts, but this is the first time I am asked money.

I understand everything has costs, but this is unheard of, and Google still charges me nothing. Sorry.

Still no answer on how to delete an account on this forum...
