Hi guys, just bought a 307 HDI and having a bit of trouble with the stereo. The previous owner put a kenwood stereo in there but everytim the ignition is switched off it loses all the settings!! Pain in the arse!!
Wiring behind looks a bit messed up, got like yellow going to green and red going to yellow, something like that. Wondered if this is right or whether the stereo is knackerd, any ideas?
Cheers |

Judging from the response I just got to a similier question sounds like the green wires are the wrong way round, could try swapping them.
Or post a pic. |

| Yes the wiring for the PUG stereos are a bit weird, you need to swap the permenant and the ignition live around. You probably find that the stereo stays on for a while after turning the ignition off though |

Cheers guys.
Checked the wiring again got yellow in the stereo going to green which seems to have perminent power and red going to red which seems to be the ignition, does that sound about right? Still losing memory though so if that is right it must be the stereo. |

| Hey, sometimes you need to swap the yellow & red around when connecting it to your standard iso loom. This should save the settings... |

thats down to the 307 keeping the power on until it goes into economy mode (30mins?). if you want instant off, turn it off or take the fascia off. |

most of the harnesses will be the same as each other. as long as you have the red to yellow and yellow to red, you'll be ok.
it'll turn off after 1min if you remove the keys from the barrel. |
