Hi,
I recently brought a 1.6 307 sw automatic, as recent as last Thursday afternoon.  We filled the car up, drove home, everyhing seemed fine.  Drove to work, and then in the afternoon, the anti pollution fault appeared along with the engine diagnostic light.  It has been on all weekend, whilst driving around, so i took it back to the car dealers garage so he could have a look and hopefully fix it, even though there seemed to be nothing wrong with the car, it was just the annoying message and light! (considered putting black tape over the engine display symbol so i didnt have to look at it!!).

The car dealer turned my car on and guess what....the light and message had dissappeared!  He retrieved the code from the diagnostic machine and recieved this code P0122 (he said it meant throttle actuator circuit??)

As the light and message had dissapeared, he said if the light comes on again to bring it back and he will look into it further.  What is it and how come it dissapeared?  Was it because the car needed a good old drive???

look at the fault code mate. not EVERYTHING is to do with the DPF!! (for reference DPF codes tend to be P14xx)

throttle actuator is located in the throttle pedal itself. more than likely will need cleaning with some compressed air or at worst replacement (which is the entire pedal).

Thank you Mr_Cellexe!  The fault had dissapeared by the time i had got it back to my dealer but like i said he took a reading that it had logged. Is this fault likely to have cured itself?  He said to bring it straight back if it happens again and he will need to investigate further.  My dealer seems quite a decent man and says he is here to help and obviously wasnt aware of the problem, so i am feeling quite hopeful that if the pedal has to be replaced we could come to some sort of goodwill gesture??!  I do have a 3month warranty but it probably wasnt worth the paper it was written down on to be honest!
