hey all,
I'm new in here so first off i'll start by saying hello. hello.
I have bought a 205 (style 1.8 diseal) i'm happy with it but i do have a couple of things that i'd ike to sort.
The car's heater blower desn't work. have have removed the board behind the knobs, cleaned and reseated the turny bit on it, but this had made no difference. I'm sure the is power to the board as the two little lights come on when the car headlamps are turned on.
Does anyone know where the actual blower is and how to test it???
thanks in advance. |

if it in the same place as a 306 its located in thr passenger foot well
the easy way to find out if it works
remove the under dash cover
lay on back look up to the door side you will see motor
pull the pluig out
get 2 pieces of wire put to female connections on the ends of each wire get friend to help
place connections onto the out side terminals connect get friend to place other end onto poss and neg of battery wont matter wich way round for the test does motor work
other option remove motor and do a bench test motor is held in by 4 star screws |

these are the weak link on the 205, you will probably need a new one. Sorry to give you that as bad news. Have had five 205's and have changed it on all of them, not a hard job.
they're around about £60 new try Eurocarparts.com or german swedish and french(gsfcarparts.com)

Hi pugweasel
I've been using this forum for info for a while now, but finally joined.
I know this is an old thread, but you say you've replaced the blower motor on 5 pugs. Everyone talks about the three screws at the bottom that you have to undo and then the motor just falls out. Well, I've undone all three screws, wiggled, pulled, etc but nothing. Am I missing something or is just brute force required? Haven't seriously yanked it as I don't want to break anythign while I'm under there.
Any advice would be helpful.
PS: when you say three screws, I presume you mean the 3 phillips screws set radially at 120 degrees, 2 to the front and one at the back to what looks like an earthing connection.
Regards
