hi
new to the forum and i hope someone can help.
need a new ecu , so i have managed to get a second hand one .
the place i got it from also sent bsi unit, sensor ring and key fob.
now as far as i am aware all of this came off the same car.
every thing that they sent had the same numbers on them as mine had.
was told to change the lot , which i have done .
problem is it wont start now.
any one know what i need to do?

| Who told you the E,C.U was faulty?.We have just fixed a fault on my daughter's 206 after it refused to start and the 'immobiliser fault' warning light came on and it turned out to be the main under bonnet fuse box.Chances are your E.C.U and B.S.I unit are ok. |

Hi Just reading you post, I have a 206 that will not start(No spark at the plug). Can you tell me which fuse/relay caused your problem so i can check mine out

1. There is no immob warning light.
2. You really need to get some diagnostic equipment on it to see if the key to BSi paring is okay and also the command line from BSI to Inject ECu is okay. |

Thanks for the quick reply, My local Peugeot specialist came around last night with his lap top comp and tried to do a diagnostic check.
He reported that the BSI is ok, but he could not communicate with the ECU.
Sorry it does not mean anything at all to me hopefully it will to you.
There is no spark at the coil pack which is ok and has been tested, and no fuel at the injector rail.
Anything else you need to know which might help diagnose the problem please just ask me!!

What diag tool did he use?
I assume you mean injection ECU?
How were the coil packs tested? |

hi,,what year is this car??
if early one it will have a multi function double relay.
did he check for eng speed when cranking?(using a multimeter on crank sensor?

Be nice to see what the problem is as i have had one of these in the garage for 2 weeks with exactly the same issues.
Its had a new ecu, new bsi, new key fob and a new key barrel surround.
I keep trying to read the ecu throught the diagnostics port but its says its unable to do so, I have tried three different tools for this.
The air bag light is flashing on this one i have got??
Any further developments??

trell,,if 3 tools can't get comms,then i think you need to look at the lives and earths for the ecu.
does the engine diag light illuminate on yours???
also what year etc,,is yours.
