hi,,,no common fault that i know of,done a few 307's.
fitting is fairly straight forward, once disconnected at pedal, feed pipe from brake reservoir and pipe work disconnected the cylinder needs rotating clockwise a quarter of a turn to release from bulkhead.

I've just had the same problem. Clutch stuck down while driving. And couldn't get car out of gear!.  Kept my cool, and luckily roads were quiet and I was only in second.
So I drove remaining 1/2 mile to home and turned off engine to stop the car.
I could pull the pedal back up, and it then worked fine if I didn't hold it down for any length of time.

Car only done 18000 miles. Peugeot changed master and slave cylinders, they said they found a fault in both (strange both failed at same time?). Anyway all done under warrenty so not complaining. I asked in the service dept. if this had occured before, if you can believe them, the guys said the only knew of happening once before to a 307.
