Hi - one of my lights in my headlamp is not working so i changed the bulb and it is still not working - im guessing there is no power going to the connector and wondered what needs to be done?
would i replace the 2 pin connector that the bulb sits in? if so, how?
i would like to try and do this myself rather than get a garage to do it. . . any tips or anyone else had this problem??

hi, you need to use a test lamp or voltmeter, turn the lights on and check the power at the connector, if there is no power, check a bit further back ( pinch the wire ) and take it from there.. |

Hi, I've had the same problem recently. It turned out to be a loose connection. Car seems riddled with loose connections.  |

Thanks for the replies. . .yes i was thinking about the voltmeter, i dont have one but i know someone who does. . .
ill see what i can do, if not i guess it will be a case of letting a garage charge me a fortune for possibly a very simple job! |

Have you checked the fuses?? if no power at connector then check fuse 15 am enginebay fuse box
if loose connection i would have expected your changing the bulb to at least cause temporary illumination of the light

Got a similar issue, initially straight forward bulb replacement (RH Main beam) bulb replaced and tested, seemed ok then went out again, checked all connections, seem alright, checked voltage from the 2 connectors and only getting around 2 volts coming through, fuse ok and if fuse had gone would not have expectedto even get 2 volts on meter, any ideas please?  |

Im having same problem. Left hand main beam just wont light. Fuse is ok , bulb is ok. Anyone come up with any solutions? like previous posters i dont want to take the car to any garage. If previous posters got theres resolved can you post how?
