Hi Chaps,
Over the last week i've had 2 607's with asr/esp and dpf faults.... Confused

1st was a 03 2.2 hdi @130k where the additive tank was topped up by the owners mechanic but he could'nt reset the counters.
With pp2000 i checked the filter load and dpf diff pressure and it was reading 17mbar @ idle and 200mbar @2500k so i advised the owner that the filter was pretty blocked.
I reset the counters for him and he said he would remove the dpf and clean it.

With the asr/esp fault i checked all the sensors including the angle sensor and all seemed  fine...... Confused

The owner has since removed and cleaned the dpf with no problems since....not even asr/esp faults..... Very Happy

2nd 02 607 was a 2.0 hdi 110 (Rhs) 82k  with asr/esp fault....I scanned it with pp2000 and only found an intermittent angle sensor fault on esp ecu which i cleared....On esp ecu live data
the angle sensor was reading fine ( e.g.  600 degs full lock left 0 degs in middle and -600 degs at full lock right)

There was a permanent  fault...fuel additive tank empty.....so the additive tank needs topping up....in the dpf ecu it stated 169 grams so i guess this it the max amount and it
defaults the additive tank empty fault......The owner is going to have a look @ the additive tank and see if it looks empty....as it was to dark when he called.
On live data the dpf looked pretty clean... Smile

Now for the 6 marker....Are asr/esp and dpf faults related... Question ...I can't see how they are...but with the first 607 cleaning the dpf and resetting the counters seemed to solve the asr/esp fault.. Confused
I'm wondering if i top up the additve tank/reset the counters this may also fade out the asr/esp fault....But then again it maybe an angle sensor fault thats not showing all the time... Confused

Just wondering what ye make of this.... Confused

Thanks....Ron
