Has anyone had problems with power reduction on their 807? We had the fuel filter housing (and filter) replaced last month (with apparently genuine Peugeot parts) due to a strong smell of diesel. Ever since then, we've noticed a reduction in power. Now ours is a '54 plate 2.2Hdi with 126k miles on it so you'd expect some power degradation at that age, but the engine was replaced at 80k and this is like night and day compared to before the filter and housing were changed. We also tow a caravan (the only reason we use this car) so every last drop of power is essential. We've towed with this car for 11 years so we know it well and therefore we know when something's not right. We're taking it back to the garage that replaced the filter housing this week, but I'm expecting little from them, so I was wondering what this group might have to say. Could it be that the new fuel filter is sapping power? Any other ideas? Thanks in anticipation.
