hi guys just brought a silver 2002 110 rapier, cracking condition 12 months mot and only 57k on the clock, gen miles even taxed,

i brought it bust for 1100 feel thats a good deal,

bust as in when revved theres a whistle/blow, and intercooler ipes expand and go hard,

car has lost power and has polution warning on dash along with diesel filter blocked,

now am i right in thinking fap, particuler filter is blocked and causing back pressure through pipes and the warniong lights to come on?

if i take it to a rep garage how much am i looking at to fix? or clean and fix etc

cheers for any help.

hi there
i got 110 sport  a couple of months ago  my anti pollution fault came on  so i took the pug along to peugeot for a code read and they told me it would cost £220 to top the eloys fluid up and do a regen   and if that didnt do the jobby then i would need a new filter at a cost of £600. bit of a dear do i thought so rather than bugger on i had the dpf filter removed and the car went like s**t of a stick however  anti pollution lite came on after id done 30 miles and the engine lite.  had a service this week end and replaced the inlet pressure sensor for the turbo and car is now wonderful
hope you get yours sorted    ya can clean the filters if ya look on here you will find out how to do it     hope this been helpful  im just a mere woman and dont know nothing about cars  but this forum really helpful
Very Happy

The tank is in the front wheel arch, passenger I think.

You can get it filled for under £100, or get it removed completely for about the same cost.

cars in local french car garage tomorrow for a clean of fap and top up of fluids, they seem to agree, intercooler pipes are hardening due to the exhaust gases not being able to escape, so fingers crossed it wont cost the earth.

Hiya we had the same problem and got a DPF removal and remaped the car, this was supposed to turn of the lights and we should no longer have these problems as for a new filter and the diesal additive this would have cost £1000 so the DPF was only £300, lights went out car ran great,  but yesterday the car would not start Sad  got the rac out and he said its because of the deisal additive being low but we thought the DPF would have stoped this but it must have just been a waist of money back to square 1.......
