My 2005 Peugeot 406 cuts off power whenever outside temperatures are high.
For example if I travel say 30-40km and then switch off the engine at my final destination , when I switch it on again say after 10 minutes , the car will start and move but as and when I slow down approaching a stop sign or traffic lights , it cuts out. And when I try to restart engine it does not start. I then have to let the engine/car cool down for say 20-30 minutes then it starts again and moves.
I have been to 3 different garages and the mechanics have told me that the fuel pump was faulty and needed replacement but despite changing the fuel pump twice the problem has continued. In cold weather this problem hardly occurs.
Please assist. What could the problem be ? |
