Hi guys

i was looking at a friends pug206 today
1.4 petrol sport

basically will start up and idle pretty much ok
tho the revs are up n down a little (thinking throttle control valve)
fault codes read with PP2000 were nothing in the ecu

the car will reverse all day long too, but as soon as you try to drive forwards all the needles on the clocks hit the bottom and it cuts out !!
it will start up first key tho straight after !

anyone ever heard of this ?

if i unplug the TPS the car will sit happily at 1100rpm accelerator peddle will not work after this tho which is not surprising

any help here will be greatly appreciated

as i was thinking of buying a second hand TPS unit and sticking it in to see if that fixed it

Does it cut out when going slower or slowing at lights or roundabouts etc? Mine had this problem, if I went too slow it would just cut out, apparently it was the crankshaft sensor :/ I had to rev it to keep it going :/
