| hi, i have a 2003 2.0 90HDI 307, when travevelling around 60-70mph i notice there is a deep growning noise which sounds like its coming roughly from the front wheels, more to the drivers side, however when turning left sharply at these speeds (only a quick jolt to one side) the noise seems to disappear for those few seconds, however when turning to the right it doesn't, another thing which is puzzling me is i dont notice the noise all the time, only occasionally, i have had a wheel bearing go on another car before and it was much louder then the noise my car is making which with it not being constant or me not noticing it all the time makes me think it cant be a wheel bearing, anyone got any ideas what it could be????????? |

Hi

jack up the front , spin each wheel , one will sound very rough compared to the other , that one will need replacement

hi, thanks for the reply, do you know if it is a fairly simple job to replace the wheel bearings at the front (if not back in the garage it goes), what would i need to do??????????
p.s just checked both front wheels and its definitely the drivers side wheel bearing gone. |

No worries
just to advise you that German swedish french (GSF) do a v tech bearing for a good price , OE ones are quite expensive

P.S and garage is best place to do this sort of work |
