Hi,
I have a problem with my 307 and hope it is not a turbo failure as the car was fitted with a new turbo and egr valve only 6 months ago. The problem I have is when accelrating gently the car suffers from surging under 2000 rpm and once above this drives like a dream. I have no warning lights showing. It does seem to be an intermittent fault as on some occasions the car drives faultless.
Please, please if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated. |

I suffered the same with my 407 after fitting a new egr valve.
One of the air pipe connections after the air flow meter was originally held with a cable tie I also used a cable tie to hold it after fitting the new egr and then had slight hesitation at around 1500 rpm. I've now replaced it with a jubilee clip and all is fine now.

Hi
id get it on some diag eqp to read live parameters , id be lookingt at particulate filter flow ( differential) rate , reckon she might be blocked or blocking , has it had a cheep particulate filter fitted in the past?? the surging you describe is normall caused by particulate filter issues
also there may be codes stored in the inject ecu that may shed some

Hi Crow,
Thanks for that. I've got the car booked in on Wednesday. Fingers Crossed it's not another turbo, if it is it's going !!!!

Hi
turbo failure is much more common on the DV6 hdi ( 1.6) than the 2.0 ltrs so fingers crossed , but be advised as far as i know only specialist diag eqp will read the parameters i suggested , if your s is 2004 the it should be a siemens injection system 803 or 803 A

Hi
Picked up my 307 2 litre hdi 136bhp from my local garage this evening (not Pug Dealer) and they advise the following fault codes P2563 & 2565. They advised it relates to the gate valve. Could anyone possibly help on typical repacement cost and labour time involved. In addition, the car does have a parts warranty for a further 3 months and bearing in mind the warranty company supplied the turbo that was fitted only 6 months ago should I be seeking a replacement from them and possibly the labour costs ?
Any help would be much appreciated. |
