Hello All, just two simple questions I hope maybe some of our techie contributors...or even folks with experience of, can answer please.
1. Is the use of red-ex beneficial or does it have detrimental effects in 307 petrol engines? I have seen conflicting reviews.
2. How is water getting into (inside) the nearside front door seal of my pug? there isn't any in the footwell or drivers door seal. Every now and then I have to squeeze it out of the holes which I assume are to relieve the air pressure in the seal when the door is shut.Should these holes be there? they are in the drivers door seal too,but not the back doors.I have checked the seal for tears or cuts right round the door and there aint any!
Any (related)suggestions greatfully received...Thanks |

| hi, red ex works by cleaning out all the rubbish in the engine, however if your vehicle has never had it used before then using it now may cause your engine to become smoky for a while, its more of a general use preventative to help keep the engine clean then a use once cleaner, so if your vehicle has never had it done before chances are it wont have any benefits really and just cause your car to smoke for a while however if you did want to use it then it shouldn't cause your engine any problems. |
