nice double post! Laughing

not as far as i've been told, no. I've even seen (and have a mate who has) a VTR engine in a 206!

Thats exactly what i wanted to hear, thanks. Looks like im going to be searching ebay for a VTR crashed. How much should i be looking to pay for a written off VTR? I did know that the saxo/106 are practically the same, but i thought id better make sure on here first! Thanks for all your input guys.

One more question, i hope to fit the VTR alloys making sure there not buckled etc, will they stick out of the arches? As the VTR has a bodykit fitted from standard, just wondered if it would stick out on my 106...? Maybe a euro style 106 coming toghether!?

Thanks and im sure i will be asking questions during my build! Woohoo!

Ben

Just thought I would point out that the insurance will still kill you if you put a VTR engine in it. More so probably as you are doing the conversion yourself.

What series 106 is yours? If its series 2, a GTi Bodykit will help hide the wheels under the arches.

One other thing, the ecu on the VTR, will this fit into my 106?

Cheers

Yes i am doing this conversion myself! I know my waya round a car, ive done brakes, suspension, but a complete new engine in a mini. So im fairly competant when it comes to mechanics!!!

So i put the whole wiring loom out of the saxo in the 106 will this solve my problem with the ECU? Will all the electric windows, Central Locking work in my car?

Cheers
