Hi Guys
I have had my 307 sw 2.0 Diesel 2003 for 2 years, it has got apporx 65,000 on the clock.
In March this year i was getting a flat spot when pressing the accelerator and uneven tickover on idling and a warning of 'diesel filter blocked'.I took it to my local Peugeot garage who did a check on it and said that the FAP filter and various other parts need replacing,(Parts Replaced Were As Per Invoice)

' fit new fap filter and reset counters refill additive and replace fuel cap loom and exhaust differntial pressure sensor '

particulate
exh bkt seal
fixing clamp
harness
sensor
particulate
pf pipe st
ecb

All this was fitted at a cost of over 700 in April this year.Any way car was fine until May this year(ONE MONTH), when i got the same problems again, flat spot and filter blocked warning. So i go back to my local Peugeot dealer who have the car in straight away to find out why i have the warning light on again. The mechanic came back and told me that i had a sensor gone on the exhaust pipe, i said that i had sensors replaced a month ago, he tells me that its a different sensor gone.So back in again to have this replaced(As Per Invoice)

' Replace exhaust/cat temp sensors and carry out force regen as fap blocked '

sensor

Car fine when the work was done but  i have now , this weekend, got the  ' Diesel Filter Blocked ' warning again and a flat spot back when accelerating, so i have now got to visit my Peugeot garage again.

Can anyone please tell me how many more sensors can break, how much more of this system can i replace before its going to work right, any ideas what may be gone now.

Sorry for a long post, thanks for any help possible.

hi,,no more sensors as such, but the system is quite complex,so there is other possibles involved.
the filter load needs looking at before a regen, also there could be an issue with additive ecu, maybe also ask them to see when the car last regened.
it sounds like it isn't carrying out a regen itself and blocking filter.#
what type of driving do you do??

Hi Toddy, thanks for your advice.
The type of driving we do is all city commuting, nothing of any real distance.

The filter blocked warning light has been coming on for the last 3 days, yesterday i noticed that the diesel was getting low, just below 1/4 tank, (i always wait until its low then fill right up to the max),i filled up and gave the car a blast along the dual carriage way afterwards and the light was still on.Today i have made several journeys and the light has not come on at all.

From what i understand about this system (not a lot, lol ) everytime you fill up with diesel,a squrt of fluid goes on to the filter to clean it,which is why i always wait until the diesel is low and then fill right up , to save the fluid. Could this be the reason why the light was coming on,it was waiting for the fluid ? Wouldn't the filter clean its self while just driving around or does it rely on the diesel tank flap being opened.
What is a ' regen ' , is that what they call it when you have to take it down the dual carriage way at a reasonable speed.

If the light is now out is not worth bothering to take it to Peugeot ?

hi,,i would give the dealer a call, explain the situation and the work they have carried out and see what they say..

the fluid is injected into the fuel tank and not onto the filter.
the fluid is used to increase burn temp etc,,,the ecu calculates fluid injection amounts.

Hi Toddy

Thanks for your advice, took the car back into Peugeot and they examined it, it turned out that one of the sensors that they fitted recently was not reading properly so they fitted a new one free under warranty.
Cheers
